I don't know if my wife is the norm, but she loves football and knows enough about it to know a bad team from a good team. But she loathes, LOATHES talk radio. "They just say the same crap over and over."
My mother can discuss football with the best of them. My wife, on the other hand, loves when UT scores a home run in football.
I don't see the problem with Rice being on the committee. Makes more sense than having AD's by a long shot. Politics aside, she is fully capable of figuring out a just and logical top 4. This isn't nearly as complicated as her previous gig.
