This is a fun thread. Carl Pickens is the most naturally-gifted receiver in UT history. Peerless probably the most influential catches in a career. Cordarelle the absolute most fun to watch, and Jennings easily the most physical, and also a delight to cheer for. Everyone my dad's age said Stanley Morgan was breathtaking. These are all tifwiw jmo gbo takes on the subject.
JJ reminds me of Pickens. Big and strong with attitude. Good speed, could hoop too and play safety if needed as Pickens did in '88.
Calloway is a better athlete. Jennings runs like Jamal after the catch. He'd just asoon hit you as try and run around you. Dude gets every ounce of what's there.
I dont know about JJ being less athletic. He can play QB, wr, safety, cover sts, go up and over everybody and coulda played D1 hoops if he focused on it.
Callaway is faster, quicker and is a better jump ball guy. I would take Jennings in a fight against damn near anyone, though
And I can personally attest to that. Gotta not twist too much. A steroid shot sure helps if you aggravate it.
Pruitts words in summary, "the people who I talked to who suggested not to let Jennings back on the team arent here anymore". Has there been a coach go from rock bottom to fan fsvorite in 2 months? Hes said all the right things. Stuck with his guns about his belief in the team and didnt throw JG under, but instead told him and us JG would help win some games and he's done it twice off the bench. What a turn of events. Which could turn the other direction at any time.
Yeah, it wasn't to him - he was supposed to be shielding the defenders out on the back line. You don't ask Superman to write parking tickets.
