2 groups of people: 1. Those exposed; 2. Those to be exposed. We can drag this on and damage economy and lives and happiness or get on with life. No there's no magic vaccine that's going to show up anytime soon or soon enough. I've looked at the data and I'm done with covid fear porn and you can't change my mind.

You cannot definitively define those to be exposed, you can only guess. Which means the best you can do is a guess. Live your life based on a guess man. I support it, and whomever else you want to risk as well. The world needs fewer people anyway.

Since there are a multitude of vaccines that are in phase 3 trials now, and one you could probably enroll in if you wanted, I absolutely believe I cannot change your mind. As it is not magic, it is in existence, now.

Sounds as if Presidents have wanted to call it off for a while, they just didn't want to be the first conference to do it. Once NIU and the MAC went that direction, the others were able to do it.

And lets be honest, this isn't about safety of players, it's about liability and PR.

If it was about player safety football wouldn't exist

Are you not sending your kid to school today? Yet preaching about someone else putting others at risk of death?
Thats a lot of drama and the exact fear porn hes talking about. And hypocritical since you are not only going to an office but also sending your kid to school. You are endangering lives!

It's pretty unfair to be announcing "conference only" schedules and leading players on that the season is happening in some form, and then abruptly cancel it when, indeed, the situation now is not very different than it was 2 weeks ago or what was widely thought possible in April/May. I don't know if playing is right or not, but nothing has changed and there was no reason to be making the announcements made last week if they were going to just cancel now.

Honestly the numbers seem to be trending positive.

I’d more understand two weeks ago than I would today.

I'm not downplaying the risk. That's the difference. I'm acknowledging the risk, and making adjustments as a result. As a result, if I need to quickly change, I can.

There is no drama in acknowledging the risk, and saying, we cannot "get on with life." What we can do, therefore, is acknowledge the risk, and say that there are some things we can do, and do those things as safely as we can.

It's like wearing a seat belt in a car, but still driving.

How well do you enjoy the Clay Travis podcasts, or webcasts, or whatever, and do you have to pay him money, or is that just a thing you do because of the enjoyment of Clay Travis?

Depends on what you consider risk. I know guys who play and know it could be their last day to walk. Others ignore it. Getting covid shouldnt even be considered a risk for the players. Since March, has a HS, college or pro athlete died of covid?

You're moving the argument from "life" to "sports." Talking about "getting on with life" is different than "getting on with sports."

You're asking me to make an argument against something I haven't made.

Some of y'all have been seeing a positive trend for most of the last 5 months, yet we just had the worst month so far.
