Fun fact - first UT game I really remember watching was a 21-14 over Minnesota in the 86 Liberty Bowl. Other than that, I wish we had said thanks but no thanks to a bowl this year. And a decent chance both sides may have an interim on the sidelines.
This is bad for all of Tennessee. Fewer masks wearers entering Shelby County, and then returning to their own counties.
That’s actually a fantastic idea. Not only does UT spare itself yet another embarrassing loss, we could boost our PR cred by giving up our spot in favor of a service academy...
Look at it this way. No Tennessee head coach has ever lost 8 games in a season. Remember, Hoke coached the last two after Butch got fired, so Butch only lost 6 that year. By the time Pruitt loses this one, the investigation should pick up steam and ole Phil can fire him with cause(s). The saddest part of that is that Kesling was one of them, and he's been in John Ward's seat now for over 20 years. If that doesn't make you feel old I don't know what will.
Doug Dickey was AD from 85-02. Him leaving is at least as plausible as Kesling. Almost all the good stuff since the General came with Dickey as an employee
