He hung 50 on Butch his last game here....he and Quentin Griffin were unstoppable on the old ncaa games That's about it
I legitimately can’t imagine what goes on behind closed doors that leads to this result and White/Boyd thinking this is really an option.
UT football is now Missouri, SC, and UK. I’ll be [dadgum]ed if I’m a fan of such a program. I’ve always wondered what the point is. There isn’t one.
Phillip Fulmer must tap a sign above the door to his house as he leaves that reads, "I took all I have, from Tennessee!"
We haven’t developed a QB since 2007. Josh Dobbs taught himself and doesn’t count. Would you rather JH or Jimmy Frank?
He's gonna be around long enough for us to get the ncaa stink off. Hopefully, he can score some points and make things interesting for 2-3 years until we can do better.
There's a poll over at the other place and the majority hate this hire. If they think it's bad, maybe it's a good hire after all. (I'm really reaching on this one) https://www.volnation.com/forum/threads/poll-happy-with-heupel.325687/
Here's some sunshine! Maybe! Heupel inherited a 13-0 team that was putting up 531ypg offensively and giving up 423ypg. He took it to 523/435 in 2018, 541/346 in 2019 and 561/492 in 2020. So, statistically, he did improve the offense while the defense showed lackluster performance. The right DC here (Steele may or may not be it) is critical. Recruiting is about what you would expect. Frost had UCF solidly as #3 team in AAC and the hand-over years they were #1 in the AAC. They fell down back to 4th by 2021. It does seem that Heupel was recruiting regionally and not just within Florida, which is interesting. That's all I got. His wins, within context, are terrible. He just beat dogshit teams and lost to equal teams.
