me too. and also, I 100% believe that if he were alive, he'd have an alternate perspective on events at the community pool
These games are so dumb. Allowing the debt ceiling to be exceeded will do lasting damage to America. If it happens, Congress should resign.
You could probably convince me that we could just get rid of the debt ceiling in totality at this point and nothing would change.
If we end up minting a 1 trillion dollar coin to fix it, then it shows the whole thing is as "real" as professional wrestling and the economy is more psychological than quantitative.
The biggest thing holding it together is that the super wealthy won't be as super wealthy if the fiat currency folds. Because a man can't hold 100 billion dollars in assets by force without a state.

Going to be a weird day when all of Wall Street just finds out they have been playing monopoly for 100 years and other people just decide to stop playing. We will survive, but I just don't want to see the 25-50 year adjustment period required afterwards.
They already know what they are doing. They always know what they are doing. They just expect everyone to keep playing.
If Americans understood what a lot of PE firms are doing (in some cases not all) it would quickly be outlawed.
I don't think the Fed or other central banks and politicians can let it crumble. The whole game is dependent on it
Basically it will be the Fed and our politicians setting up the game. It's a fake game, and will have to end.
