I don’t believe it either. Are there some people who do that? Sure. But is that what a vast majority of abortions are? I sincerely doubt it.
Remember, if a man breaks into a woman's living room, she can shoot him dead. But if he rapes her, she must be the mother of his child. A piece of property has more rights than a woman. This is the law we live under.
I have friends who work/have worked with PP and it's not anything like it's made out to be, in my experience. I have never met anyone who 'likes' abortion. Nobody does. A lot of painful, tortured decisions - even when the mother's life may be in jeopardy.
Justice Breyer retiring tomorrow. Let the dog and pony shows start. https://www.cnn.com/2022/06/29/politics/breyer-supreme-court/index.html
Our grandkids and great grandkids are going to love having to live in climate controlled bio domes. We are now at the point where Pauly Shore movies will become real life.
This decision aside, our country has already demonstrated it doesn't care about children. Death now in the classroom or later from climate impacts. Keeping our heads in the sand.
I really don't know that I can have kids with this trajectory and not feel like I am just bringing people into the world to suffer.
I know for an absolute fact these people do not understand the situation based on what was written. Roberts doesn't get the existential nature of it.
We hear the arguments about population decline in certain countries, but how do expect people to bring more children into an increasingly dangerous world? Enjoy your climate-ravaged, debt-ridden gun range, kids.
What a horrible way to look at having a family. Suffer? Politics makes you so upset you fear suffering? Wonder if Norris wishes he hadn’t had kids to take the trip he will always remember. Same for Card. If you don’t want to have kids or be a parent, don’t. Being dramatic about bringing them into a world to suffer…goodness y’all need to get a grip imo. You may be too mentally invested in shit that really doesn’t affect your life.
