So the coup of the coup is the logical next stage in this.

 

I’m still trying to make sense of what happened. No way business as usual commences after a renegade private military threatens to roll into your capital and forces a “deal” within 24 hours. Russia is the ultimate alpha state based on perceived strength (which is why the Russkies give MAGA Tucker Carlson types quivers in their private parts), an authoritarian state, where any sort of challenge to authority is met with a firm hand (causing you to accidentally fall 12 stories). There’s no way this doesn’t have consequences, reverberations. Putin was seen absconding from Moscow. In a landscape of predators, having a third party leader negotiate a truce to end an attempted coup ain’t good.
