Mississippi State was taxed out from putting so much effort into the SEC tournament. South Carolina got wrecked by Auburn in Nashville and probably were emotionally spent after losing the game against us. Kentucky's freshmen just shit the bed. I've rarely seen players so visibly affected by the pressure as the Kentucky players were. Their offense was attacking and freewheeling all season and, then, a dude like Sheppard was petrified to shoot yesterday.

We were ready to play and had the perfect opponent for us in St. Peter's. They were overwhelmed from the get-go.

We'll see how it goes today. I don't think all the SEC teams will survive.

 

Kentucky was done as soon as Pale Ellis started knocking down everything he was throwing up. You could see it in their body language every time one dropped.

 

SC was like us Pearl's first season. By the time we hit March we were done. Heckuva ride, we just were gassed.

Agree completely on State.

 

Mississippi State also needs somebody besides Tolu Smith and Hubbard to score, and Mich St did well to limit Smith and Hubbard didn’t hit anything after he got his cranium caved in.

 

How is that a flagrant foul when it’s all elbows and arms up there. Just a fluke

The last couple minutes of this game has looked like a video you’d show someone if you never wanted them to watch basketball again
