This might be the most embarrassing thing my alma mater and employer has done yet, and that's saying something http://wate.com/2015/08/27/ut-knoxville-encourages-students-to-use-gender-neutral-pronouns/
1. The blonde is hot. 2. Is this seriously the news? At one point she was just reading Facebook comments about the topic. ****ing seriously?
the idiot who came up with this idea is pulling close to $70,000 a year? dafuq? where the f@#% are such 'laughing jobs' posted? that's the kind of job i want.... just come up with bullshit ideas, working for a bullshit department, pulling $70k ... soon enough, the whole country will let us alums just put our diplomas on the car dashboard so's we can park in the handicap spots.
Another layer of bureaucracy that funnels money away from academic instruction and towards giving cushy jobs to humanities majors.
My wife has a master's in social work. She worked at Cumberland Heights then an insurance company. She's a stay at home mom now
I honestly believe all of those bullcrap offices are an accumulation of job service for "bright" humanities graduates who found that there was nowhere to practice their "craft." It's something schools can point to as them being "pro-active" whenever something gives them bad publicity. These people enjoy the smell of their own farts, and are completely clueless as to how useless and frivolous they are. They think they're the glue of a campus, when 95 % of people on campus don't even know who they are or where they're located or what they do exactly. I'd argue 99.5 % of people on a campus don't know all 3. Meanwhile, let's get rid of tenured positions and just hire adjuncts for peanuts. 70k would pay for 6 to 8 classes taught by adjuncts a year, btw, and is more than what one new faculty track professor makes. It's as much as a humanities professor is likely to ever make these days.
