That didn't happen quick. They definitely walked away with it in the tidal area for several minutes, allowing the waves to create a liquefaction effect under the vehicle. That tide is coming in or just left and already flooded the car. They're certainly ****ed.
I love the basic instinct to try and increase impact to the cranium instead of trying to brace or protect at all. Crazy how nature do dat.
Step 1 is dig it out until pulling it won't warp the frame or pull something off. That's going to take a bit. Keep in mind that everything under the hood is probably filled with sand to the sand line. It isn't like it will start up and drive off once they dig it out and pull it out.
