Grumors would help his ratings. Basilio is not on UT's pay sheet. Why would he give a shit? Who does he owe?
Basillio being alot like myself, saying something that you really want to happen will never happen so that it will end up happening because you are always wrong about everything. Who cares how it makes you look if you end up getting what you want, amiright? That's my philosophy anyway. No one will remember me anyway.
I don't have any insight into the Haslam side of things, but I know most of the other biggest boosters don't believe Gruden is in play and they are really unhappy with the control Haslam has maintained over the choices related to the football program for the last decade. Charlie Anderson, Thunder, etc are beyond unhappy. I'm not sure about Ergen. Their view is that Haslam is in complete control of this thing. I heard for the last month that nothing would happen quickly with Butch and that's panned out. Haslam is against mid-season firings and would only do it if it had to be done. Also heard Gruden was "bullshit" since day 1. These same boosters also admit not having the control/input they would like, so that doesn't mean their views are accurate on Gruden. Even though Haslam has control, the people I know believe Currie will do a good job.
How can they expect Currie to do a good job if Haslam is making all the decisons (something they are unhappy with)
