Couldn't agree more, past health issues, made a basketball school's football respectable, I think he's checked his boxes and would prefer to retire there with a good legacy.
Some, maybe all, on here disagree with me on this, but if Gruden is a no go, I'd take the same exact offer to Petersen, if it's 10 mil, do it. I think the impact of hiring him may not be quite as good as Gruden, but the results could be pretty similar and that's really all that matters to me.
Even with Fulmer in the picture now, I don't see Cut as an option, by his choosing. He doesn't need to be for his own good as others have said. 8 years ago it probably would have worked out pretty well, but not now.
I agree, but he has a pretty excellent setup out there. Doesn't seem to be a guy that necessarily needs to be in the bright SEC spotlight. I'd be surprised if he could be lured. Basically, I'd be surprised if we can lure a sitting coach that is in a place where a national championship is possible.
Gruden Petersen Kiffin Patterson I would be extremely happy with one of those 4. I could live with Shaw Frost Fuente Marrone Maybe a few others. I would take Miles or Brohm before Tee or Steele. Tee and Steele need to be apart of someone's staff though.
If the Fulmers and Grudens are actually that tight, Phil's first move next week will probably give us the answer we've all been waiting for. I just hope the list will be irreverent when that takes place.
I won't get wrapped up in the Gruden stuff again but the headlines if we pulled this out would be legendary. A photo of Gruden with the scowl wearing Big Orange with the headline reading, "Whose Laughing Now?"
we may have to go back and look but I believe my tailgate deal had an * that said "won't coach at UT under current AD" potential volatility and another change of direction. Though I realize your response may have been rhetorical. Something will happen.
He's like a really hot chick with herpes. I mean, you might catch her between flare-ups, but, well, I'm pretty sure kiffin has herpes
