Zero blame. He was butched as hard as anyone. In retrospect, jones was playing a guy who wanted to be at another position because he was "needed" over a guy who 2 years later is the rookie of the year. INSANE.
Imagine Hurd and Kamara in the same backfield, Hurd motions out. You've got Dobbs keeping, Dobbs giving to Kamara or Dobbs chucking it to Hurd covered by a LB or a S. Anyone could make that work.
Give both back 15 to 20 touches a game, let Dobbs keep or hit your massive TE over the middle. Believe there was a receiver or two you could throw it too if push came to shove.
I am still genuinely amazed at how bad Shoop was here. I don't care who his boss was, I never in a billion years expected that.
I just chalk it up to when things get toxic in a program, inexplicably bad things happen with otherwise good players / competent coaches.
I hope he succeeds as well. Most importantly, for his future career . Other reasons, it further supports how shitty of a coach was and so I can go over to the other place and throw his success in the faces of those that bad mouthed the "kid" for his decision. I've gotten pretty petty when it comes to subject of butch jones.
Screw that. Let's throw a bunch of deep outs and timing routes to the short white kid. Then, let's get that 240lber juke stepping behind the LOS while Kamara rides the Peloton on the sideline.
