Two red dogs walking, a bag of rags and a large frosted orange??!?

    To go, of course!

If, on the outside chance this actually happens, we’ll know Tennessee is finally serious about getting back into the business of winning football games. Especially if Pittman is part of the deal.

I’m not holding my breath though.

If it’s not Chaney, then what the [uck fay] are we waiting for?

Yeah I was perfectly content through the bowls because I had convinced myself we had someone lined up. If something doesn’t happen soon then I’ll begin to sweat it.

Enos got the OC gig at Alabama, right?

The James Coley experiment was the final straw for Chaney. He’s adamant about being his own QB coach.

I’m interested to see who Pittman has stronger ties to, Kirby-Coley/Athens...

    Or Chaney/Knoxville.

He’s on record saying he loves both towns.

And what title does Friend accept and what is Pruitt willing to do to make hard decisions with his friend, Friend.

    So you think Chaney’s happening?

I assumed he had either Sark or Cignetti on the hook. Yurcich wasn't coming here and Pruitt knew it a few weeks ago. If he lands Chaney, he'll go down as one of my favorites because he's stepping on Kirby's throat.

Enos may be getting the WVU HC job. At worst, he's Alabama's OC.

For those who don't know, Coley got a substantial raise, the co-OC title and the QB coach position to stay last December. He's going to eventually replace Chaney

Exactly. Fine with waiting up until this point, but if we don’t have our guy before the end of next week, my patience will be disappearing. Maybe even by end of this week.

I don't expect a great hire, but things are getting interesting.

I honestly don’t know which direction this is going.

I know without a shadow of a doubt Chaney reached out to us very, very early in this process.

I like Chaney. His resume speaks for itself. It’s a B+ hire.

But if he convinces Pittman to come and Pruitt can swallow his pride with Will Friend... then you not only get an A+, but you hired the best case scenario.

It's not that I don't like Chaney, but I guess I'm lost on the fascination with him. I remember a lot of 3rd and short plays with 30 yard post patterns falling incomplete. Not saying he would not be an improvement, but I'm not necessarily clamoring for him to come back like some. If Pittman comes back, that would be awesome.

If anyone wants to espouse Chaney's advantages for us, I am all ears.
