I think Barnes has done a great job, and I enjoyed the hell out of this season. That being said, if UCLA is offering anything close to the Calipari offer, let him go.

Could very well be angling for a raise. UCLA bball feels a bit like UT football at the moment.

I think there is a part of our fan base that needs coaching turnover like a pain pill.

 

I will believe this when I see it.

 

Don’t think Phil would let him go easy. But if he did go, I’d be really interested to see what Phil could do with a real coaching search in a major sport (don’t count Pruitt’s hire as that was him taking over an already botched to hell operation).

 

They’re in the same bible study / small group. Barnes loves Knoxville.

This is for more money, and which is fine, IMO.

I'm not so sure at Barnes age, net worth and focus that he is playing the game to get more money.

Dont think so either. Hes heavily involved with his kids and their adopted kids close to home. Leaving for LA seems silly for him at this point.
Maybe UCLA putting a COY name out there for attention.
