When these kids go home for Thanksgiving, that one uncle is always waiting to hit them up for money then to tell them how they should be getting more outta whatever school they're attending.

True, I've followed a UT via 8th chat only and assumed we were getting blown while actually winning. Very disorienting.

Probably wants to play in a conference where he won’t be held every down.

 

He’ll probably end up going pro anyway. Never expected him back next year.

Wake me when this madness ends. I am starting to hate the portal. I get it, but for selfish reasons, this is worse than MLB and NFL free agency ever was.

I’ve heard edges can get in the million + range. 2nd behind only qbs. I know a very highly touted CB that makes 22k/month

 

I wonder what these kids are doing with 22k a month? Blowing a lot of it? Straight to savings as they have few expenses? Parents taking it, or trying. I’m not against it but almost no college students are prepared to handle this.

 

I'm guessing supporting their families in many cases. Buying or paying off the house.

 

Yeah I’d say most of it goes to benefit the people around them. I don’t think Baron is one of those guys though.

 

If I could change one thing about the portal, I would make it not open until after the national championship game. And this would make sense because that would put it between early signing day and official signing day. That gives high school kids a chance to commit prior to anyone knowing what the portal looks like.
