23-24 Season

What an absolutely horrendous half of basketball. We were getting looks there for a while and playing good D, but they get every loose ball.

 

We are boxing out for most part but caught in mismatches on the box out then get shoved in the back.

 

Either need to extend the 3 pt line in college or go to 12 minute quarters. That will even out these absurd shooting nights by lesser teams.

Would we have gotten the ball out of bounds on the goaltend they took away? That review rule blows when the offensive team retains possession.

 

I feel like teams/players with the reputation as good rebounders get away with a lot.

 

The shove under the basket is fine (as long as it’s not egregious), but not if you’re going to immediately call a foul on the next guy who touches him after he grabs the rebound.

 

Let’s get it to 7 at 10 and try to close strong.

 

Not a lot of middle ground for our team right now. Got to find some consistency as every night can’t be like it was at Rupp and then like this. It’s too big of a swing from one to the other.

 

11 fouls like crazy.

 

We got a couple of stops and had a good chance to cut the lead down there and didn’t even score

 

One of those nights. Them fronting and switching everything on defense is a problem for us because we can’t dump to a dominant post and they are having their best shooting night of the year.

 

wonder how it woulda gone had DK not missed both. Seems they all are thinking it’s one of those nights after that

Hard to win a basketball game when you can’t put the ball in the basket.

 

They look faster at every position
