Pearl did good but he had exactly zilch to do with what Barnes has done. Silly to suggest otherwise.

 

It sucks but I don't think anything untrue was said. You'll never have to hear it again I don't think. Barnes has fully eclipsed him now.

 

Barnes inherited an absolute five alarm dumpster fire. Everything Pearl built, he burned down on his way out.

 

Win Sunday, you build the Barnes statue and retire the #3

 

The only thing I could point to is he reminded UT admin that we are allowed to be good at basketball.

 

Bruce setting the table for Barnes is the laziest and most intellectually dishonest thing that could be said.

 

We won. Life is good.

 

He can’t bully Awaka down low like he does others.

 

Bruce made the program fun again. Then Tyndall and Cuonzo burned it all down. Maybe you could say bruce had done enough 4 years prior for barnes to take the job but that's about it.

 

Sunday will come down to the officiating, imo. If the game is called the way our game tonight was, I like our chances. If Tobe and Aidoo are both on the bench with 2 fouls 5 minutes into the game, we are gonna struggle.

 

I’m slow to catch up, but I like that so many knew that down 1 at the half was not an issue. Our proven defensive players had to sit with 2. But they struggled with our defense.

I like that we survived to underdog game. Now the pressure is off. Let the nuts hang now.

Let's be fair, Pearl didn't say any of that, Candace Parker heaped it on him. Pearl complimented and pumped up Barnes.
