Yeah, it’s only half true. Now, if we are saying that people simply don’t understand a lot of the policies they think they agree or disagree with, that’s a relevant conversation. In short, tribalism is more of a symptom than a cause
Yeah. I tend to agree that tribalism is a symptom. It is an excuse. From my perspective over the years, low information/misinformation voters seem to be growing on both sides of the tribal divide. People seem to be getting comfortable with being intellectually lazy and unwilling to do the work. We used to want the Cliff Notes. Now the Cliff Notes are TL;DR. And neither sides' "individuals" want to accept accountability, it is the fault of the "other" guy's tribe. Politicians are more interested in laying blame than working out solutions. And We the People have let them.
If politicians actually solve problems what will they have to run on? Its a racket and we all pay for it.
Fair point on the "world" view. It is complicated, it is hard, it is difficult to change or shift a paradigm. We have allowed them to make it a racket. Politicians are the ultimate "Yes" man. Hire those that will work for viable solutions not just tell you "yes", fire those that don't. Instead we keep hiring those that tell us "yes". We allow ourselves to be manipulated because it is easier. We fight change because it scares us. We blame those that we elect because we will not accept the responsibility that we elected them.
We probably expect too much sometimes but they will promise it so we expect it and when we don't get it they point fingers and convince us its not their fault instead of just coming up with compromising ideas that will work, maybe not perfect but will help. Instead of doing that most politicians just promise the moon knowing it won't happen and knowing they can blame the other side and just campaign on it again next round saying they are going to try harder. Its trash.

It's Riley Gaines, of course she's lying/exaggerating. No one's made a bigger career out of finishing tied for fifth in their life. I would like to know if all these folks who are suddenly chirping about "women's rights" are going to now support ERA.
“In the last few years, many Republican-controlled states have adopted laws restricting the rights of transgender children, including banning gender-affirming medical care for minors” Give me a break with this shit.
