Is Currie Waiting?

Will Currie let Butch finish the season with the understanding that he takes another job? Is Currie trying to save $13 million by Butch leaving on his own therefore no buyout? All the while Gruden agrees to wait in the wings until December.

Would be worth suffering through 2 more months I suppose. My fear is Butch gets no offers.

 

No one wanted him last year. Doubt anything has changed.

IMO, Currie has already told Butch he will not be back. Butch coaching trying to impress for his next job. Currie waiting to make the official announcements until all the Gruden details are finalized.

 

Wants the seniors to suffer more IMO

I think that first sentence is spot on seeing how he hasn't been fired yet.

I have no doubt that the message boards are causing all of it.

 

You can see it in the way he acts on the sidelines. I'm not sure Currie has informed him that he's toast, but Butch understand the reality (for once).

 

he hasn't been red, splotchy and stressed since the Umass game.

 

It's more about getting Butch to lower his expectations of where he could/should go than impressing places that might want him.

 

Position coach is in his future unless he wants to go to high school or directional school.
