Todd Fuhrman, who’s an oddsmaker, was on the radio today in Nashville saying the game being at 11 am would swing the line 1.5 points.
Possible. Trouble is I think Auburn goes 3 and out every drive and by second half their defense will be out of steam.
Might have my years mixed up because a lot of those Florida abortions blur together in my memory, but believe that might have been the game Nathan Peterman played literally the worst game of any QB in SEC history. If he would have just caught the snap and immediately dove onto the ground every play it would have been a better outcome than whatever the hell he did that day. Will never forget Peterman treating the football like he was setting up a volleyball spike for someone when he lobbed a "throw" directly to the Florida DT.
Obviously if we beat them they won’t be #1 any more so can you really count it as a win over a #1 team?
Beating Alabama is huge no matter what. Young or no Young, I’m not confident we beat them, so a win here is unequivocal. Feel free to @ me if I say otherwise later.
I was not, I said this summer Tennessee is a 9-3 team that would probably go 8-4. I was wrong. Brian Kelly pissed himself and Heupel rubbed his nose in it
Alabama just about has as many 5*s on their team as we have 4 and 5-stars combined. Why anyone wouldn't revel in Tennessee beating an outrageously more talented and historically dominant team like Alabama at home with basically the entire country watching is beyond me. The dividends this would pay for with recruiting would be insane.
Originally I was hoping for 9-3. I thought we'd split Pitt/LSU. I could have stomached 8-4 if we looked good doing it. Now? Expectation is 10-2 and NY6 bowl. I still don't think we've got the horses to get to the CFP, but New Year's in N'Awlins ain't a shabby consolation prize for this program.
