Fortenberry said something to the effect that he would be surprised to see Truitt as a member of this class. Based on that comment, I would say that Powell did take his spot.
Most sites can't evaluate then. He does the 2 or 3 things that people use to evalutate and seperate RBs but from the TE position.
2013: OJ Howard 2008: Kyle Rudolph 2005: Martellus Bennett 2003: Tony Hills Jr; Greg Olsen 2002: Mercedes Lewis
Which means extremely rare since every other position will have multiple guys per year (minus kicker/punter of course).
I'm not sure I would agree with that. I don't think he's any better than some of the consensus number 1 guys Bama and UGA have gotten these past few years. The kid Fournette out of Louisiana is more highly regarded in this years class.
What makes you believe he will be better than Trent Richardson, Yeldon, or any of the stable of backs UGA has gone through? Once in a decade for UT.. certainly.. but once in a decade period is like Andrew Luck or Eric Berry.
UGA hasn't had shit at tb other than Gurley and Marshall. Moreno wasn't great. Yeldon and Hurd are comparable
Because he's bigger than those guys and still out runs everyone on the field. People don't even like getting reps against him in camps because "its not fair."
I think making the prediction that he could be a once a decade type talent is going out on a limb for sure, but it definitely isn't out of the possibility. If he gets a good line to run behind then look out.
