If UT had a similar sized PG he would have.

UT is flat on both ends.

 

These refs are trying to make a political statement or something on the state of basketball.

 

Amazing recovery, up by 1 at half. LSU with foul trouble everywhere.

We weathered the storm early. Hopefully we have something left in the tank. It would be nice to start the second with a little run and see if LSU melts.

How to make a game dull.

 

I think it's probably being called to our advantage. More breaks should help with fatigue, and we're #1 in the SEC it FT% (albeit with Punter contributing heavily). We needed Gray to exit or change his defending badly, and who knows what Simmons would have done.

LSU is just dumb enough for UT to have a chance

 

Looks like the stripes are fixing it now. Hubbs offensive foul was about as bad a call as Ive seen in this tournament. You dont call that.

 

Was just gonna say the refs were riding hard for LSU at this point. They probably want this more than Simmons, at least.

 

For some reason (and this spans several levels of basketball) the officials feel the need to be seen in games where they should be next to invisible.

 

He's just along for the ride. He knew this group with its coach wasn't going anywhere. Time for a check.

 

I wonder how often Hubbs works on FTs. Probably all the time.

Good run, but just didn't have enough left in the tank. Refs sucked, LSU trying to play straight up for the last 20 seconds because you really need to foul on the inbounds up 11 with six seconds left.

Seriously need some reinforcements next year

 

Did Blakeney really get the postgame interview? Did he even have 5 points before we started fouling?

 

Hope we can build off of this. There was a lot of effort, but we're clearly not a complete team.
