UT hasn't taken his commitment yet. Apparently the kid just kind of publicy committed, without actually calling the coaching staff first to confirm. The coaches are caught between a rock and a hard place, strictly because the kid goes to a school in GA with good talent. Making inroads in Tucker HS is a good thing.
I guess they may not actually want this guy. Not taking after he publicly committed could be somewhat humiliating for him, hurting our chances with other kids from the school. I think based on how many kids we took in this past class we have fewer spots and have to be especially selective for the class of 2015.
Exactly. This is the kind of recruiting news you celebrate. The opposite of the nonsensical booms that toos when you get a commitment from the "underrated" 3* with offers from Wake Forest, Vanderbilt, and Ole Miss.
Seems like the thing to do. Publicly accept, privately let him know he should keep doing the process just in case things change.
