UTK has five pre-season top 20 opponents. Butch has the chance to make some hay this year. We'll see.

And OK received three. I think FSU has about a 1% chance of repeating this year.

 

their schedule is a complete joke so it's hard to not see them in the playoff.

 

as usual some strange things in this poll. Oregon looks a little high. As does UCLA. Michigan State low. LSU low. ND low. North Carolina, Texas, and Washington should not be ranked.

 

True, but I think Winston is just going to have a sophomore slump.

 

I was never overly impressed with him. guys were wide open constantly, he had all day to pass, etc. still the talent advantage is going to make him look better than he is. i'd be shocked if he won the Heisman. and we all know FSU could go lose to wake forest or something. though they might still squeak into the playoff.

 

Why Texas would be ranked without proving anything is strange.

I'm not sure I buy the Ole Miss hype either.

 

I honestly think Washington could go 3-9 or something. I'd be surprised if they did better than say 6-6. I guess this is chris Petersen hype or something.

 

The Titans drafted their RB. I'm excited to see what he can do.

 

Ole Miss has two of the best players in the SEC in Nkemdiche and Treadwell.

They don't have a lot more than that. Freeze had a hell of a haul recruiting wise in 2013, so maybe people are expecting all of them to break through

I think it's the recruiting definitely. I freely admit I don't think I've watched an ole miss game in years.
