Bye between Florida and Georgia is well-placed. That October stretch is brutal, as always, but it could be worse. If we were a title contender, Mississippi State would be a trap game. As it is, it might be the one we have a chance to win between Georgia and Bama. I'd be shocked if we do better than 1-2 in that stretch (if we beat UGA, I suspect we'll be spent for the next week)

That’s where I’ve got us, and that’s even counting Florida on the road as a loss.

Will obviously take a big step forward in quality, but there's a pretty big pack of teams that are either even with us right now or only marginally ahead. Beating Kentucky, Vandy, and the non-con patsies and going 4-1 against BYU (home), Florida (away), Mississippi State (home), South Carolina (home), and Missouri (away) isn't going to take a top 15 outfit. It's a totally reasonable ask.

I think this should be a 10-2 type year if we can take the right steps. Bama and UGA are the toughest games. MSU at home is winnable.

Georgia at home after a bye gives us a shot.

BYU is a sneaky worrisome game.

Naturally we get them after they’ve gone on the road and defeated a top 10 opponent.

I'll let the disappointment of this season sink in before I worry about next year's disappointment

I still can't wrap my mind around them being a defensive strong team and Memphis State being an offensive team now. Complete role reversals from my youth and I can't grasp it.

Bro, we are going to have them butt chugging. Technically checking both boxes at once by their state law. Just got to figure out their magic underwear's cellar door.

If they didn't break at Camp Randal, not sure Knoxville can do it.

Dudes are all 22-24 years old too. There’s often a physical maturity about BYU that makes them an interesting matchup.

Still, we ought to out-athlete them more effectively than Wisconsin could.

I had two of them come up on their bicycles while I was getting gas. They asked me if I had a minute, I said sure, I need to go get some dip and a large coffee, I'll be right back.

    They got the hint
