Has any school ever been the last remaining undefeated team in basketball *and* baseball in the same year? We’re an FSU loss away from it.
Weekend hit and giggles are over and I’m excited to see what the guys can do this weekend versus some legit SEC talent.
Sucks that he likely won't get to play, but I have a feeling he will make bank off of the eventual lawsuit.
Basilio had Maury Hanks on yesterday, talked a little about where the whole college sports deal could be headed with the upcoming house ruling, it’s a complete train wreck, and it’s as NCAA as it could possibly be
The bottom line the ncaa should be looking at is: is the student advancing towards a degree, and are they applying eligibility consistently? They get into the weeds on things that are irrelevant. If he talked to them and they told him to put in a waiver request knowing what it meant for him due to that conversation, they either need to let him play or make him whole for damages. These are people's lives.
To put it a better way, do you think Bargo and Peebles will be in the everyday lineup in conference play ?
Bargo was, I believe, 4-8 with 5 rbis and 2 homers last weekend. He also has an OPS of 1.058. There may be matchup considerations that we don’t know about where he sits some days, but yeah, I think he’s probably going to see regular playing time. For Peebles, Frank and Tony have always valued what the catcher brings to the staff and defensively over what they bring to the plate. I think we continue to see Lawless and Peebles combos.
