This is how the ridiculous NIL money will get curbed a little. I don’t care how rich you are, if you pay hundreds of thousands of dollars to a player to go to your alma mater and he only spends one year there you’re going to stop doing that with future recruits. Bit of a market correction coming I’d say.
I don’t know. There will probably always be somebody dumb enough at most to power-5s to pay top kids thousands or hundreds of thousands to commit or play at their school or alma matter. It doesn’t change the saying that a fool and his money are soon parted, just that there will always be a lot of fools.
