Force turnovers and get off the field on 3rd downs. The amount of time the defense is going to be on the field means statistically it's never going to be great

 

Total points won’t matter for the D. All about stop rate.

 

Stop them once or twice more than they stop us and we win. With our effectiveness on offense the defense can be and should an attacking ball hawking scheme. The offense can cover the times this scheme gets burned.

 

Ugh, I hate basketball on grass so much. But, it is what we are now.

 

Ya, you can't expect to win a championship without having a high efficiency offense anymore, and if you have a high efficiency offense you want to minimize variance by maximizing total possessions. Is what it is.

 

At least we're not trying to play '90s ball without the players to pull it off, i.e., Pruitt.

 

I like the way the program is moving. Heuple seems to at least try to maximize a kid's strengths.

The kids seem to be having fun and getting developed/trained such that their skills/potential are maximized for future opportunity in today's marketplace.

I did not complain when I got to put down the sliderule and get a calculator. Which calculator (TI or HP) is Heuple's choice. If he can use one more proficiently and get the right answer, I'm good.

I would not complain if we had some slobberknocker LBs and DL guys to compliment the fast-paced offense.

Oh, and a anti-flop deterrent would be nice.
