This guy is a huge upside recruit. He's 190 lbs and he's just now getting out to camps. His supposed offers don't match his rankings.

 

I thought this wasn't going to be a "huge upside" kind of class. No knock on any of the recruits, but it appears at this time that we are taking a step back in recruiting.

 

When has Butch ever started our hot on recruiting? It's always been during the season and towards signing day when the "big fish" start landing.

I don't really like it but he's done it for three years

 

The '14 and '15 classes were top ten early and throughout.

 

14 had Hurd and TKJR early. People were panicking over 2015 for awhile

 

And Dabo has handed Butch his ass so far this year recruiting wise

 

Guess it depends on how early. Was pretty good by start of summer and already well stocked by the end of it.

I'm not gonna worry about this class until late in the season. It all comes down to results this year.

 

Butch needs perennial top 5 classes to have a prayer in the SEC.

 

I mean I hate Butch, but there are few coaches who can stay at the top without top talent.

Gary Patterson, Mark Dantonio and Bill Snyder are about it

 

Yeah, it hasn't been long but Art Briles could join the group.

 

I agree, but he's starting to get more and more talent

 

There are those who stay competitive with the top. Dantonio has done a great job. Plenty others make blip rises without tons of big hauls. We just have horrendous coaching.

 

Bill Snyder probably doesn't get enough credit. That place is a complete disaster with anybody but him
