Good point. His ranking has dropped lately but his offer list is as elite as it gets. I know Settle and Mckenzie are higher on the list for sure but I'd like to know who else they think is "higher on the board" than Johnson.

 

I have heard there may be some possible grade issues. We lead by a lot at the moment.

It can be. Although when you get a guy like this it takes work to try and get them eligible and sometimes it's not worth it. Also if you just sit back and take the wait and see approach you could miss out on some bigger fish because they want to go to a school with less d linemen committed. It's a tricky situation. That's why some really good prospects get underrated solely because of grade issues.

The above quote tells me that we've got a couple of silent commits at DT right now, most likely Mckenzie and Tim Settle. Butch is probably leaving that last spot open for JUCO DJ Jones.
