This is likely not worthy of a thread - so merge if needed - but today I finished a game of golf and was listening to NPR on my way home and discovered that the Japanese government found out about their recent disastrous earthquake from social media like twitter, facebook and message boards a full 20 minutes before major news sites began reporting the same event. In today's world the internet drives the new cycle; and it will be where news is broken first. I couldn't help but draw the parallels between the two, and think it is pretty ironic Tenny. A full two months before major news sources announce this earthquake, a message board breaks the news. Congrats. I hope to be in Knoxville around new years, and I hope that we can all get together and raise a beer.
