Unless NCST is 3 shades of godawful, I don't think we can win tonight. So assuming that they aren't invalids, here goes nothing....

Defense:
We may be good as we gain experience but one is huffing 98 octane if they think we can make the transition to the 34 with only 2 real LBs. We are currently expecting sorry assed DEs to contribute heavily at OLB and that won't happen. I wouldn't trust any of those cement shoe'd rejects to cover my grandmother 1-on-1.


Offense:
We'll throw the ball well and Patterson will eventually prove that he can compliment Hunter. But Justin Hunter won't be in regular form mentally or physically until probably October. I think that we'll run the ball better but that will only be because Jay Graham, not anything breakfast bar Chaney has done.

Outcome: at the end of the day, Chaney is still the OC and he'll field a passive OL that gets abused every week and defensively we'll be lacking talent-wise. NCST is better coached and will be mentally better than us from the coin toss. Tennessee fights the whole game but can't consistently stop NCST. NCST 27-23.
