Yes but I don't believe he should change anything. We over signed, taking up scholarships from the '16 class.

Believe so. He would only deal with the 85#.

 

Not a shock, with him behind someone in his class on the depth chart, but TE depth doesn't seem to be wonderful right now

 

IIRC, he had a really big catch in the '13 Georgia game on fourth down

 

I'm sure the staff trying Jakob at TE over the weekend made him realize he wasn't going to see the field.

 

He shore did

 

And 2 other catches makes his entire career.

Not to dogpile the kid but he wasn't seeing the field. At least he acknowledges that and is leaving on what seems to be amicable terms.

 

Jakob moving to TE may have been in response to this kid's decision to leave.

 

Doesn't seem to fit the timeline, but maybe.

 

I thought Johnson would end up there. He's an awful LB and we can't use him at DE.
