I like it. More teams and more markets get to enjoy the fun.

    Thoughts?

Hate it. Diminishes the need for 162 game seasons.

Cut 6 teams, go to 12 in each league, reg season winner go to series.

3 best in each league get playoff bids. Regardless of division. Best record gets bye.

Tired of seeing mediocrity get rewarded.

absolutely agree with NYY. You play the regular season for a reason. I think the NFL, NBA and NHL have all screwed up their regular seasons with so many teams getting in. I was fine with 4, but I can't believe they are going further. You just finished probably the greatest last day of the regular season in sports history and with these rules, those games would have been meaningless.

Wanted the elimination of divisions and top three teams proposal as well.

I agree with you guys, but this was better than the status quo, IMO.

I want the season shortened and amount of teams cut.

Further waters down an already extremely diluted product.

Can we also stop the madness of letting the All Star game determine who gets home field advantage in the World Series?

I saw nothing wrong with the status quo outside of the horrifically unbalanced schedule. Season length can be cut to about 150 games, but making the post season longer only further ruins the purpose of a long regular season.
