And it isn't a difficult problem to fix. Some of his credits will transfer. Even if it takes a few years, he could get it done without much hassle given the proliferation of online and summer classes.
He or the AD could have some GA take online classes for him to the get the degree if anything else to give the appearance that they give a rats ass. Of course, it would still be fraudulent, but it make it look like you at least care.
