I so badly want to see UCLA turn its attention to Pearl now.

That Pearl’s literally never been a more attractive candidate, makes no bones about his keen interest to bounce out of Auburn, and that UCLA still has no interest in him, should prove telling to some.

And this, despite their now being publicly embarrassed twice in losing their guy, desperately sitting on Day 99 of their coaching search - and being one of the most historically corrupt programs in history (what was the last UCLA coach who had success there and which didn’t result in major AA trouble?).

When you’re seemingly too shady even for UCLA basketball, well, take it as you will.

 

If you think that Pearl hasn’t been frantically reaching out to UCLA since before their coach was even fired, you sir, do not know Bruce Pearl.

This is but many reasons why he’s the inarguable apex pariah of the coaching community.

It would be sweet justice to see UCLA be cornered into hiring Pearl because nobody else would take the job...

Justice may be delayed, but rarely denied.

You may never see a more thoroughly desperate P5 group than UCLA hoops, right now.

Were I them, I’d be taking his calls, if only as the emergency plan to the emergency plan to the emergency plan.

Pearl in LA certainly fits, but I imagine UCLA to be a bit on the stodgy side
