You know, if Currie had really wanted to ride into Knoxville a hero, he'd have fired all of Kansas State's coaches and replaced them all with UT's losers a day or so before he left the job.

 

What is the consensus on Dennis Dodd? I don't think I'd ever heard of him until like a month ago and I've seen say several dumb things since then. Can't Sexton usually get someone more legit to carry his water if what he wants said isn't absurd?

 

He would probably be the third string beat writer in Auburn, AL.

he's good and well connected. that being said, he has some dumbshit opinions sometimes.

If I read this right, Dodd is predicting Butch goes 7-5 and loses a bowl game (or the interim does). Then takes a pot shot at expectations at Tennessee. Either way, 7-5 Regular is about right. Butch is probably liking this scenario. Win 7, get a new job. Win 8, get a @$%#!!! raise. Sexton knows the game.
