Since we've apparently had our Zook, Shula, and Hoke, can we please have our Meyer, Saban, and Harbaugh now?

Yeah. All these comparisons have run their course with me. Ridiculous at this point. The big time programs don't go this long without winning. Even Hoke went to a BCS Bowl.

If they screw up this next hire, the program is dead. Even the middle of the road fan is sick of this shit.

At this point, I'd wish for Ron Zook or Mike Shula. Both were better than our last two.

Tenacious D The law is of supreme importance, or no importance

You guys have it all wrong - you can't just hire an accomplished coach for $6M per.

You have to gamble on hiring four or five up-and-comers who haven't accomplished anything, pay each of them $3M, and hope they can accomplish things here, on the biggest stage, that they couldn't accomplish elsewhere, on a smaller one.

See, the TN plan requires that you spend more and more money (preferably with 2/3 of it being guaranteed in a buyout), but for exceedingly lesser and riskier coaches, and then feign absolute alarm when the dual-process plan of "hope" and "wishful thinking" somehow fails to pan out.

Eventually, we'll sign Tusculum's D-Line coach for $25M/yr, and will automatically give him a lifetime contract for wearing shoes to the into presser.

You can take it as s joke all day long, but it's our reality.
