Seems pretty terrible.
He was good in limited snaps. I don't think the defensive staff knew how to use him. A lot of those guys on the list were busts because they were criminals or they were lazy. The coaches failed him
Yeah Weatherd would have been a very good hybrid E/LB but Jones and Jancek seemed to want their ends to play at 280-290 which is asinine, and they didn't ever really use a WLB very much. Weatherd was a guy that would get sacks/TFL in the limited time he got. Darrell Taylor is the same way, IMO. Although I can't say it's completely asinine when your best strongside guy is also one of the best pass rushers in the league. But I honestly don't see why they lean on LaTroy Lewis so much but never did the same with Weatherd.
I'd say it's too early to say for some of the transfer guys as well. A few of them are getting playing time and Helm is a second-teamer with better numbers than Wolf.
Maybe bust isn't the right word for those guys, but they weren't worth a scholarship based on what we got out of them.
I didn't even see McKenzie in the rotation against Tech. He hurt? Only at UT can you land the #1 overall player in the country, and he makes no impact.
