We play 5 of the best 6 teams in the league. Win 2 of them, and beat the teams we’re supposed to beat, and I will call the season successful.I think we will

 

If we go 7-3 against our schedule, I think we're a Top 10 team on merit. Probably high teens in the polls though.

 

MAC cancelled Football. Mid Major Programs are going to be absolutely devasted financially.

 

Good. Nobody watched that bullshit to begin with.

Hate to see anybody have to cancel. And there will be some kids who struggle to cope and turn to other things since they arent a part of a group of brothers watching out for each other.

I’m having a hard time getting too worked up about schedule difficulty with A&M and Auburn being added. It’s highly doubtful most of these games will be played.

 

I don't think this season can be completed without "bubble" type measures, and I don't think you can get guys and the support staff on board with "bubble" type measures without suitable compensation. This needs to become a well-paid "work study." The amateur athlete concept like this is just glorified intramurals has to die, or the season dies and all that revenue dies.

Apparently the NIU president in an infectious disease expert and NIU was going to not play and the MAC didn't want to look bad. Now no other president wants to roll the dice.
