I have been thinking of trying Drifting with my Miata. Anyone have any experience doing this? I know tires are important and a large expense. I also wonder if a Miata has enough power in mostly stock form. I have added a better air intake, hp wires, and a coil pack. What are some other easy mods? I have beefier sway bars and nylon bushings as far as chassis mods, still have stock height. Also, anywhere around Knoxville there is competition?
Im not sure my car Dr. has a drift beater........... he just upgraded the whole front end ....... check out his Face book page markertmotor works....... hes down here in Ga ... but I think the Yolo drifT circuit is all over!
So I had to google it to find out what it was and my only question is if anyone does this who isn't a) bored out of their mind and/or b) drunk. No offense broyles.
I was a corner worker at two tracks where PL Newman (his entrant name) raced in SCCA competition. We killed a case of Bud one Saturday night at our campfire.
Drifting is mostly for intellectually crippled, spine free, hipster douchebags. You know, the kinds who root for a team because their fat skank du jour goes to a certain school or support the Portland Trailblazers.
