Alabama Crimson Tide: 9.5 Over: -110 Under: -110 Auburn Tigers: 7 Over: -120 Under: Even Florida: 8 Over: +105 Under: -125 Georgia Bulldogs: 8.5 Over: -145 Under: +125 LSU Tigers: 9.5 Over: -140 Under: +120 Ole Miss: 7.5 Over: -105 Under: -115 Tennessee Volunteeers: 10 Over: -110 Under: -110
I just checked 5dimes and to bet the Alabama over it's -310 meaning I have to bet $31 to win $10. ok now that makes sense.
That line probably moved fast due to so many folks jumping on the "free money" aspect of it. History says they'll win at least 10, but they do seem a little more depleted than they have been.
if I had to bet, i'd go: over auburn under florida under Georgia (though not feeling great about it) over LSU over Ole miss (I really like this one) under Tenn (though not feeling great about it)
hard to see where the 3 losses are coming from. at lsu, at tenn are possible, but what else? maybe A&M or auburn or ole miss? no way usc beats them with a new qb.
their schedule is very manageable outside of clemson and Alabama and the defense should be better and I find it hard to believe the offense can be worse.
Well, last years team had atrocious QB play and really only got blown out once. Mediocre QB play could have had them at 8-5 or 9-4. Then: -Jovon Robinson is a stud -John Franklin has track speed, so the offense could theoretically improve with him throwing 10 passes a game. -Maybe the very talented freshman WR class can mature fast. -The defense will be helped a lot by a talented and deep DL. Carl Lawson has to be healthy though. -Herb Hand is a good OL hire, so we should be good there. All that being said, it's really just going to depend on John Franklin. Sean White has no prayer of getting that team to 8 wins unless we completely change our offensive identity.
Nope. They might surprise me, but I'm trying to be realistic. They don't have much to work with, and I don't have much faith in Muschamp.
This. SSjr was in charge of 'cruitin. Him and the rest of the staff sat on their asses while Clemson plundered in-state talent and kept busting ass on the recruiting trail. One thing CWM had to do right off the bat was help repair relationships with the SC HS coaches. Clemson is very good about inviting HS coaches to come watch practices and do Q&A sessions. SC did very little - if any - of that. Basically - Spurrier just got lazy and mailed it in. Edit: Clemson is also very good on social media and promoting their program. That's another area Muschamp is trying to improve.
We will find out pretty quickly how effective the coaching staff is. Six wins out of this team would be a hell of a season.
