Watch 2015 highlights and you can't tell me that a decent coach doesn't take that team to at least a playoff appearance, if not a natty.

I refuse to acknowledge that Tennessee fielded a team from '10-'17. I drank enough those years to effectively erase their existence.

 

Just watched Coach Pruitt on finebaum, I’m developing a severe man crush here. If the team listens to him we are going to field a great team here soon.

Doesn't sound super encouraging for the defense. That being said, I'm getting a distinct Cal 2006 vibe for this game. That might just be because every time I see Jennings, he looks just like Meacham.

 

2016 was also a wasted year. And I remain convinced 8-4 was the competent coach's record last year.

 

Judging by the lack of transfers, I think (hope) the team is bought in.

 

Yep, 15 and 16 both were 11 win seasons with just a half way decent coach.

 

Jalen Hurd would also be going down as one of the top UT running backs in history.

 

Hurd/Kamara would be spoken of in the same sentence as the Cobb/Webb backfield.

 

Hurd could have been a national name.

 

Can we even frickin imagine what the offense would have accomplished with a half competent HC, OC, and QB coach?

 

8-4 would be the floor. Florida, Kentucky, USC, and Vandy should have been gimmes for a coach in year 5.

 

We will do prison things to all four of those teams this year.
