Fifa 16

Worth the money?

 

I buy it every year.

 

I used to do that with NBA, but that doesn't answer the question. Is it that much different or better than FIFA 15?

 

I don't know if it's "better". Slightly different feel, seems harder to score. Doesn't seem as easy to just blow by defenders and stay ahead of them.

Plus add in roster and kit updates, new stadiums, it's worth it for me.

 

I'm ok with that. I hated the long ball crap in 15

 

I hadn't played since Fifa '12, so obviously I thought it was worth it.

 

I played my 10 hours worth of the game (EA access) before it came out. It is slightly different in some ways but nothing major.

Before it came out, I didn't plan on buying it. Once I played my ten hours, I decided I would go ahead and get a used copy once one popped up at GameStop (cheaper and I have a 20% off coupon). Now that it's been a little over a week, I've been having second thoughts about whether I really want it.

What game mode did you play in 15 mostly?

 

Career mode, exclusively

 

I play it because I love soccer games. But it's just not that fun of a game.

 

They've nerfed the hell out of dribbling.

 

Yeah I think it's more realistic

 

I did notice that. Skill moves take ages and often don't go anywhere.

 

And they have gotten rid of precision dribbling as far as I can see which is stupid.

 

Is that the face up dribbling?

 

Yeah. It's useless though, for various reasons.

 

Seems to still work. What do you see has changed?

 

Can you get it to precision dribble without doing the feints?

 

Actually I haven't tried that. I read that as precision passing the first time. I'll have to mess around with it tomorrow

 

Did we ever reach a verdict here? I've been leaning towards not buying it.
