Finebaum has stated two days in a row on his show that he believes, through conversations with people at Bama, that Pruitt is the man they want to replace Saban at Bama. Said that Pruitt would be “Bama’s first call.” Has anyone heard this? I imagine Pruitt would run back down there naked for that job.

Probably have to jump at that job while you have the chance, but that’s a no-win assignment following Saban

Think he has to prove he can beat Vandy first.

    I don’t believe this.

The first and 1500th call is to Dabo.

I'm not seeing it at this very moment.

If Pruitt does well here and they want him he will leave.

Be a pretty underwhelming hire. Maybe he will be great, but he’ll likely be at very close to .500 at the end of next season. That doesn’t seem like the kind of guy that follows Nick Saban.

Dabo ain't going anywhere. Dude is happy and knows what Bama is. He's not leaving. At Clemson will match them dollar for dollar if needed.

In 5 years I could see Bama hopefully making a run at Pruitt if all goes well. If they did now it would be Kiffin all over with CJP being the 27th choice. That said, I've heard a couple of people say CJP doesn't necessarily want the job. He wants to build his own program himself.

Bama isn't going to get anyone worth a damn right after Saban. Who wants to walk into that trap?

They will get another Ray Perkins, or, in more modern terms, their Holly Warlick.

Dabo has built his own dynasty. He’s not going anywhere.

Fulmer seems savvy enough to already be anticipating this possible eventuality. If not, I have overestimated him as an AD. Up to now, I’ve been very impressed with practically everything he’s done in that role.

I imagine Fulmer will be retired before Saban is.

I don’t know, man... Fulmer seems like he’d be perfectly content to stay in that job until he dies...

I don’t see Pruitt being their 20th call, let alone their first.

He needs to win quite a bit more before he would be IMO
