Broken collarbone. Pruitt says he’s had surgery, but will only miss “a few weeks”.... 1. A few weeks for a broken collarbone? Is that crazy? Because it sounds crazy to me. I’m thinking 6 weeks, minimum. 2. Who now moves to take his spot / role, and what’s the impact of his loss on our defense? It depends on how bad a break and where it is. It's usually a 4 to 8 week deal, though. The good thing is they are easy to recover from
I absolutely obliterated mine and was 100% healed in 8 weeks. My ortho literally called my collarbone "giblets". And I was in my 30s using nothing more than some IB and minor exercises. If he had surgery, it could be to repair separation or it could be as simple as putting in a metal brace to strengthen the mend assuming he wants to come back.
I threw a tennis ball at a car as a young teen, taunted the dude to chase me and after a couple of fences, got my doubleknotted shoelace caught on the tip of an iron fence, when sent me down hard an about broke my neck, but broke both collarbones instead. Got up to run and must have looked like a fool cause you can't pick up your arms when you break a collarbone and a ran home about a 1/2 mile with my arms dangling. Probably ran a 4.4 though.
I have a little arthritis in my right collar bone. I work with my arms over my head a majority of my work day. It sucks, bad
