After more than a decade of bad news.... “UT player(s) arrested for this”, “Coaching change at Tennessee that” or “Another losing season on Rocky Top” or any number of other tidbits of news ranging from awful to downright disastrous.... It feels good to be positive about Tennessee football again.
The change in direction starts at the top. When your leadership sucks, everything its supposed to be leading will as well. It appears that has been fixed. Trickle down.
Money being spent on the correct things makes a difference. Who gives a shit about a stadium renovation if you're putting a 7-5 football team out there?
Having an AD that actually knows what it takes (having been on the other end of the spectrum) certainly isn’t an impediment.
The worm has turned. I don’t think we will see a huge difference in the win-loss record next season, but Tennessee is making rational coaching decisions for the first time in 10 years. We’re also recruiting less 170 lbs guys, and more 300 lbs guys.
How things change. Last week people were calling our program and AD an embarrassment due to not hiring an OC while erybody around us was taking a day to decide on guys like Kingsbury who leave them a day later. Probably a lot of didnt age well posts now among the OC search threads. We still are 2-3 years away from seeing something different imo and i dont know if the fanbase knows it.
I concur. When’s the last time I ever said anything here that was less than 100% stable and rational?
I mean, what’s irrational about thinking we may just go without an OC at ALL and see what happens??!?
