Never thought I'd live to see the day Vanderbilt win a national title in anything. Coming from someone who spent ages 11-18 on the Middle Tennessee HS and travel ball circuit, I'm proud of the guys on Vandy's roster I either played with or against. Other than that, screw that Nashville private school.
So the players should get recognition for winning a national title but no credit should go to the school they play for?
Well I pulled for them. I'm old school stuck with idea that winning a National Title by any SEC school is a plus for our program too. If you need that explained, don't expect me to do it, I am too busy for you.
And for the record, Vanderbilt's women won the NCAA national championship in bowling in 2007, and Commodore Ryan Tolbert won the NCAA outdoor 400m hurdles in 1997. So there.
